1. Who we are
ChequeDesk is an online service operated by ChequeDesk. These terms apply to every company ("customer") and every person who uses the service on a customer's behalf ("user").
2. The service
The service lets customers prepare, approve and print payee, date and amount details onto cheque leaves issued to them by their bank, using the customer's own printer. It does not issue cheques, does not print MICR lines, signatures or bank security features, and does not move money. Payments are made by the customer's bank when it honours a cheque signed by the customer's authorised signatories.
3. Accounts and security
- The customer is responsible for who it invites, the roles it gives them, and keeping sign-in details confidential. Turn on two-factor authentication for approvers and administrators.
- The customer must check every printed cheque before it is signed. We provide calibration tools, but printing accuracy depends on the customer's printer, its settings and correct paper loading.
- Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You must use the service only for lawful payments by your own organisation, onto cheque leaves issued to it. You must not use it to forge, alter or counterfeit any instrument, to print on leaves belonging to another person, to probe or disrupt the service, or to access another customer's data. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules and may report suspected fraud to the authorities.
5. Plans, trial and payment
- Plans, limits and prices are shown on the pricing page in Bangladeshi Taka. VAT is added where applicable and shown on the invoice.
- A subscription is paid in advance for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months by bKash, Nagad, Rocket, card (through our payment partners) or bank transfer. It starts when the payment is confirmed. Nothing renews or is charged automatically.
- When a trial or paid period ends without renewal, the account becomes read-only: data can still be viewed and exported, but no new cheques can be printed.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A change never affects a period that is already paid.
- Refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy.
6. Customer data
The customer owns its data. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. Audit logs are kept for the lifetime of the account and cannot be edited by anyone, including us.
7. Availability
We aim for the service to be available at all times and take encrypted backups every day, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in the application where possible.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by a cheque that was printed incorrectly and signed without being checked, by misuse of the customer's accounts, or by the customer's printer or bank. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the customer paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending the service
The customer may stop using the service at any time. We may end or suspend the service for a serious breach of these terms. After an account is closed, the customer may ask for an export of its data within 90 days; after that, data is deleted from live systems and removed from backups as they expire.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will notify customers of material changes in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction.
